The Adopt-A-Family Program sponsored by the Cumberland County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section has been a great success for the past eleven years. In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we were still able to bring some much-needed good cheer to our local community as we again teamed up with Safe Harbour, Carlisle C.A.R.E.S., the Domestic Violence Shelter of Cumberland and Perry County, as well as local churches and organizations to provide holiday cheer to families residing in shelters, as well as those families unable to afford the holidays themselves. For 2020 at the request of our local shelters, we provided gift cards for the residents to do their own holiday shopping instead of our traditional delivery of physical gifts.
